Dear Guest, Thanks for your review about our hotel. We are delighted that you found our room spacious and well-appointed, with amenities such as a double bed, sofa, desk, and a small fridge enhancing your stay. Our hotel's location is indeed a highlight, being so close to the festive Christmas market, and we're glad you could take advantage of that. However, we regret to hear about the issues you experienced with the temperature control in your room. We understand the importance of a comfortable environment and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please know that we offer heaters and extra fans upon request to ensure our guests' comfort at all times. Finally, we are pleased that our hotel's prime location contributed positively to your experience, making it convenient for you to enjoy the local festivities. Dear Marguerite, We would like to thank you for this review about your recent experience in our hotel. We are pleased that you appreciated the location of our hotel, conveniently situated in the city centre of Gent, just a short walk from St Bavo’s Cathedral. However, we regret to hear about the issues you encountered during your stay. We apologize for the unusual smell you noticed in the lobby and understand how important a welcoming atmosphere is to our guests. We are also sorry to learn that the bed positioning in your room was not to your satisfaction and that the tea service was not adequately replenished. Concerning the general appearance of the hotel, we acknowledge that while our rooms are in good condition, some aspects of our hotel may reflect an antiquated charm that we are continually working to improve, without losing the historical essence that many guests enjoy. We value your comfort and satisfaction and will take your comments into consideration as we strive to enhance our guest experience. We would also like to highlight the various amenities and services we offer, such as our fitness area with new machines, a relaxing outdoor unheated swimming pool, and a selection of dining options at our Gourmet Bar. We are pleased that you found our hotel's central location convenient, just a short walk from historical sites such as St Bavo’s Cathedral. However, it is with regret that we learn of your dissatisfaction with the room's decor and comfort. While our hotel rooms are designed to blend the charm of Ghent with modern amenities, we understand that personal preferences in style can vary. Our beds, sized at 1m60 x 2m00, are generally appreciated for their comfort, and we deeply apologize if this was not the case for you. Cleanliness is a priority for us, with daily housekeeping services in place, and we are truly sorry if we did not meet the high standards we strive to maintain. Furthermore, we empathize with any inconvenience you may have experienced due to noise. Our rooms feature double glazing and soundproof doors to ensure a peaceful stay, and earplugs are also available upon request.
