Good location but very old towels (and possibly not washed between guests!)

Very good location, about 5 minutes walking from the train station. The room is spacious and cleaned however the towels are very old and with holes. I am concerned that they might not replace all the towels between guests: on the first morning I used one of the towels that was in the cupboard and I hanged it in the bathroom with the other one I used. When I came back at night the towel had been folded and put back in the cupboard. As the towels were not neatly folded when I got in the room at check in I am now worried that they might not wash all the towels between guests! It was also a shame that there wasn’t bottled water in the room - it would also be nice if they provided a biscuits and some body lotion. Also to note that when I checked in the TV was not working - the person at the reception (by the way, the only person working at reception that evening!!) had to come to my room and switch the electricity from the mains in order to get the TV to work.

Check in should be at 2pm but room not ready til 3.10pm. Receptionist unfriendly Room very clean with comfortable bed Plenty of clean towels Fridge and coffee maker No bottled water as described Fabulous television Very quiet room on 6th floor

Spent Friday and Saturday night here and loved it. All staff are so friendly from the reception to the cleaners. We felt so welcome. The rooms are spacious and very clean and the breakfast was lovely too. I want to especially thank the lady on the night shift Korina for how she dealt with a situation at 2:30am. She was second to non, very professional and helped me and my partner in what I thought was scary. This lady is a credit to novotel. 👏👏 Would recommend this hotel 100%. Well worth the money. 😃😃😃😃

First stay and going back

We couldn’t fault our stay at Novotel, Leeds City Centre. Our stay was for 5 nights and it was our first time here. We have stayed in other Novotel’s and stay in Leeds at least twice a year and have often previously considered it, but some reason hadn’t until now!! It’s well positioned, a short walk from the train station and close to walk to all Leeds has to offer. From check-in we were made to feel most welcome. All the staff we encountered were great. Breakfast was lovely. Nice room, good choice, staff including the chefs topping up food, all friendly and happy to pass the time of day. Bar area nice as well. After check out and whilst we were waiting in the lobby to walk back to the station, a Northern Irish lady (didn’t catch her name unfortunately, but possibly the manager?) came over to make sure we were okay and really made an effort to see that we had, had a good stay. We are back in Leeds at the end of April and have booked in at the Novotel again.

Fabulous breakfast!

I enjoyed my stay here, nice spacious room, bed was large and comfortable however the pillows were a little strange, 2 normal pillows with 2 pillows that kind of fold in half. I am a frequent business traveller, but have never experienced these kind of pillows, they are not practical when used for lying down or sitting up in bed. Dinner in Soap Factory bar and restaurant is good, but breakfast at this hotel is superb! Really well presented choice of delicious food, and it was a real pleasure to enjoy smoked salmon and scrambled eggs at a buffet breakfast! Fantastic!
