I appreciate they had moved to a new system. But I turned up with a toddler and dog to a massive queue at reception, during which we then had to evacuate due to a fire alarm. Check in therefore at least 40 mins eating into valuable time on our stay. Then they had to re-take all my details during check in which I had already provided - only to be told to pay for parking and dog staying (would have been a nice gesture to offer one complimentary…) Other than that room was nice, clean and food from restaurant was of good standard.

Asked front of house what time could we check in told 4 so we had to change a meal reservation! And asked again when we got back told 3 not a happy bunny’s

Well located next to the river and a short walk into York. Helpful and friendly staff great with the children and managed to secure adjoining rooms which made the break more family friendly. Topped off with a good breakfast in the morning plenty of choice for everyone.
