Really nice hotel. Check in was fast and easy although they ask for a $200 hold when you check in. Parking is $40 a day but right below the hotel in an underground parking lot. Rooms are nice but we had to put up with some loud teens 2 nights. Had a full university basketball team staying whilst we were there that were drunk and partying both nights, not a good look for a “upmarket” hotel. Don’t pay for anything in the hotel bar. There’s 3 bars across the road all serving food, there’s tons of places for breakfast nearby and a store next door selling drinks and snacks. And the market is only a 5 minute walk away.

Expensive for just okay

The price is outrageous. The breakfast buffet was pretty sad. Hard as rock pancakes and pastries. We only stayed here because it was very close to our activities with small children, otherwise I would have stayed somewhere further from downtown. There was also some confusion when I made my reservation online, it asked me if I wanted breakfast buffets for my kids but it turned out to be lunch menu tickets and we didn't even have lunch there. I received great pushback about removing these fees since they were incorporated into the price of the room and was told "oh well" until I called and spoke to the manager.

Nice hotel in a perfect location within walking distance from the lake, the market, the Hockey Hall of Fame and Scotiabank Arena. The area is lively and full of breweries, pubs and places to hang out.
