Regarding the lack of a mini fridge in the room, we understand that this may have been disappointing. However, we would like to inform you that we do offer a fridge at reception to store sensitive items, and that our team is available 24/7 to provide you with access to it, including during the night. We are doing everything we can to ensure that these essential needs are taken care of in a secure and accessible manner. Regarding English TV channels, we would like to clarify that we currently offer two English-language channels. We apologize if this was not clearly communicated during your stay, and we will ensure that this service is better highlighted in the future. Disgraceful policy at Novotel

Dear Susan. We're deeply sorry you did not understand the concept of preauthorization which is a standard procedure practiced in most hotels to cover potential incidentals and not have you pay each time you want to order drinks at the bar or eat at the restaurant. The goal is to make your stay more comfortable, however it is not mandatory and you can pay directly for your room at check-in if you prefer. A preauthorization is not a payment and it requires your credit card and pin code to work, which you did when you arrived, therefore it's not fair to say you were unaware that this deposit happened since you agreed to do it.
