You can't go wrong if you offer pancakes to children! The restaurant offers a wide choice of fillings so every child is satisfied.

The National Center for Science (NEMO)

Interactive exhibits and educational demonstrations make this scientific amusement park a special treat for families. Steer boats, play chemist's apprentice or learn how to pedalo… there is a wide variety of choices.

The Vondelpark is the most visited park in the city, where you can enjoy jogging, a picnic, theatre and open-air concerts. Six playgrounds are available for children, the largest near the Groot Melkhuis.

The Van Gogh Museum

Unmissable! With its style, colours and subjects, the work of Van Gogh seems to resonate with children. The museum offers an audio tour for young children as well as lots of workshops.

The Molen van Sloten Windmill

The Sloten windmill is one of the few which can be visited on the outskirts of Amsterdam. The mill is still active and the guides tell both parents and children about the various functions of the mill.

Artis Royal Zoo

An oasis of nature in the heart of the city. The zoo has more than 900 animals species and 200 tree species. Artis Zoo is a complex which also includes a planetarium, an aquarium, a zoological museum, a geological museum and a playground for children. All in one!

Bicycle or pedalo strolls

Rental bicycles are a particularly good idea for families (with child seat) and the pedalos are part of the city's tourist landscape. An original way to visit Amsterdam - or to use up the boundless energy of your children!
